What Are the Statistics When It Comes To Nursing?
what are the statistics of nursing babies to formula babies?
On average how long does the nursing mother nurse her baby?
And how long (best for the baby) should you nurse a baby? Until they are what age?
thanks!

I looked this one up yesterday as a matter of a fact, what I found was alarming; only 13% of American’s nurse for six months, and less than 19% do it for 3 months. The American Acadamy of Pediatrics states a minimum of a year is what people should aim for, and the longer a person nurses the better. I nursed my daughter for 14 months, and thus far my son is almost 3 months old and I’ve nursed him exclusively, no supplementation and no bottles, he has only eaten from my breast. I can see why people don’t want to do it, it’s time consuming and you are strapped to your baby 24/7. But the benefits are so outrageously good for the baby, its worth it to me to give up a year at least to nurse, and it gets less demanding once solids are introduced (around six months for my kids). Good luck!
